An Update on PSAT Digital Testing
At the beginning of the digital PSAT/NMSQT and PSAT 8/9 administration this morning (approximately 7:45–9:15 a.m. ET), a surge in traffic on the application used by schools to set up and run administrations caused some schools to delay or be unable to begin testing.
We resolved the issue with our web services provider. At 9:15 a.m. ET this morning, schools were able to fully resume testing. Over 1.2 million students tested today as of 4:30 p.m. ET.
We know that districts and schools carefully prepare for their administration in advance and often disrupt normal school operations to give assessments. We deeply apologize for the late start to testing that many students experienced and especially to those who couldn’t test today. We are committed to working with schools and districts who weren’t able to test as planned today to support their communications with families and to identify opportunities to test at any point during our month-long testing window.
