PowerFAIDS Cloud Launches in 2023
As the new year begins, College Board’s financial aid management system, PowerFAIDS, is looking toward the future.
In 2023, the first group of institutions will move to PowerFAIDS™ Cloud—the newest iteration of PowerFAIDS, an industry pioneer in financial aid management. Drawing on over 25 years of experience, PowerFAIDS Cloud adds technological advances to a tool already top-rated in efficiency, compliance, and service.
The system is moving to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform at a key time for the financial aid community. With major changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and Federal Pell Grants approaching, PowerFAIDS is a system customized to respond to formula updates and federal changes. With the advanced tools offered in the cloud, institutions can streamline financial aid processes and focus resources where they’re needed most—with students.
A key feature of PowerFAIDS Cloud is the ability to natively integrate with top student information systems (SIS), allowing a financial aid office to more easily transmit information across their institution.
I'm excited about the partnership with our current SIS, the new custom data features, and the student-centric format.
Lisa Green, Assistant Director of Student Financial Services, Indiana Tech
The 2023-24 launch of the cloud will provide integrations with Technolutions Slate, Jenzabar One and Sonis, Ellucian PowerCampus, and Ruffalo Noel Levitz, with additional integrations planned.
PowerFAIDS transformation has also been directly shaped by the needs of colleges and schools. An advisory group composed of PowerFAIDS institutions, including key users and institutional leaders, has informed key features and partnerships for the new cloud product.
As a part of the PowerFAIDS Advisory Group, it’s very encouraging to see ideas that we presented incorporated into the product and actually helping to shape the final product.
Jim Spruill, Principal Software Engineer, Carnegie Mellon University.
PowerFAIDS institutions represent a broad spectrum of higher education, from four-year private universities to two-year public community colleges to nontraditional educational programming. The new system is designed to be customizable and responsive to the needs of a variety of institutional sizes, coupled with best-in-class customer support.
