Important Update to Our Search Program
The following announcement was shared via email with impacted institutions.
In partnership with higher education and K–12, College Board has been closely monitoring the evolving legal and regulatory environment around the use of race in recruitment and admissions to make thoughtful and pragmatic decisions that allow us to continue serving students and members nationwide.
Race and ethnicity filters will no longer be available in Search and Connections as of early June 2025. This change will reflect updates to the National Recognition Program filters available in Search to align with changes to the 2025 program and the awards available to high school students in the classes of 2026 and 2027.
Search is an essential recruitment tool that research shows positively impacts college enrollment for students of all backgrounds across the country. In this complex legal and regulatory environment, changes to our enrollment solutions will protect students’ ability to receive college and scholarship outreach and information, and changes to the National Recognition Program will allow academically deserving students from all backgrounds to stand out on college and scholarship applications.
