College Board Celebrates National Principals Month
National Principals Month is a time to honor the dedicated leaders who play a vital role in their school communities. Principals work tirelessly to create pathways to success for their students and staff members. Their influence extends far beyond the classroom. They foster environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
This month, we celebrate principals’ unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and the profound difference they make every day.
We’ve collected shout-outs from across the country to shine a light on their achievements.
Sandy Tanner, school counselor for Northside Middle School in Lexington, S.C., is proud of her school’s principal, Dr. Tiffany Hall, for her holistic style of leadership, and she had the following to say:
Dr. Hall encourages growth and cross-training involving various disciplines which, in the long run, encourage independent decision making.

The staff at Aiken Scholars Academy in South Carolina appreciate principal Martha Messick's tireless efforts in pursuit of excellence in education.
Ms. Messick is more than a leader. She’s an active participant in all facets required for success.
─ Laura Robins, guidance director for Aiken Scholars Academy
Whether she’s teaching a class, proctoring an exam, or enrolling new students, “Ms. Messick is centered at the heart of our school,” Robins added.
Rob Cable, high school principal at Stargate School, Adams 12, in Thornton, Colo., ensures high school counselors have a seat at the table when discussing student well-being.
Mr. Cable always invites the counselors to conversations impacting students' mental health and academic interests. He continues to take the counselors' professional judgment into consideration when making difficult decisions. I’m grateful to work at a school where school counselors are viewed as key staff members.
─ Patrick Millmore, School Counselor, Stargate School
Principal Seth Rogers, Assistant Principal Jessica Hok, and Assistant Principal Jason Robinson at Temple High School in Carrollton, Ga., stretch far beyond administrative duties. They focus with intention on the needs of their students.
They work hard each and every day to make our AP® program possible and supported. When we’re short on time and space, they find creative solutions to ensure testing guidelines can be met and in a space that is quiet and comfortable for the students.
─ Angie McDaniel, School Counselor, Temple High School
At Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Dr. Denise Aloma rolls up her sleeves to ensure the best for her students.
She’s invested, devoted, and interested in making sure our testing process is streamlined as we follow the proper protocols and rules instituted by the College Board.
