Career Finder Named EdTech Award 2020 Finalist

The College Board’s Career Finder has earned a spot on the EdTech Awards 2020 list of Cool Tool Award finalists. The College Board partnered with Roadtrip Nation to create Career Finder, an online tool that helps students make informed academic decisions about careers based on their personal interests and what truly drives them.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the EdTech Awards is the largest recognition program in education technology, recognizing the biggest names in edtech and shines a spotlight on cool tools, inspiring leaders, and innovative trendsetters across the K-12, Higher Education, and Skills and Workforce sectors.

The EdTech Awards were established to recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate the most exceptional innovators, leaders, and trendsetters in education technology. This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including: pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value, and potential.

“This year has been different, to say the least. However, despite formidable challenges brought about by world events—including locked-down cities, standstill travel, and closed offices, businesses, and schools—we endure,” said Victor Rivero, Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest. “While The EdTech Awards salutes all those on the front lines of help, with an extraordinary shift to online learning, really acknowledging the innovators, leaders, and trendsetters—particularly in our field—is more important than ever.”

To provide additional support to students during this difficult time, the College Board is offering all students free access to the premium version of its Career Finder tool through July 31. To get started, students can access Career Finder through their College Board account or at roadtripnation.com/careerfinder
